Built & Launched a Native iOS & Android App in Flutter to receive push notifications for thyrve.io (text messaging platform for churches) in 3 weeks. Jon, the founding partner of W&W, was employed by Thryve when he worked on this. This is an example of the scrappy and efficient thinking we bring to the table.

Problem

While Jon was at Thryve there was a three-to-six-month plan for a full app, but the team at the time lacked the experience and expertise required to build and ship native apps at that speed.

Solution

Due to the short timeline, Jon used Flutter for quick cross-platform development and native push notifications, with Google sign-on for iOS and Android. A simple wrapper preserved the existing mobile-responsive workflow while mobile UI bugs were fixed. Church administrators could respond in real time instead of relying on email.

Impact

Jon chose the primary road blocker for the rest of the team and shipped it first. Removing that obstacle created a mobile foundation for further development and gave long-term value to Thryve’s users.
